The goal of this Wikipedia workshop is to increase awareness about Wikipedia and equip its participants with the rudiments of contributing to Wikipedia, and to introduce it as a concept to them. The Centre for Internet and Society in partnership with Wikimedia Chapter India and KRVP, Bangalore, is organizing a workshop for Kannada science writers at Karnataka Rajya Vijnana Parishath Conference Hall in Banashankari, Bangalore on March 17, 2013. The one day workshop shall begin at 10 a.m. in the morning and will conclude at 5.00 p.m. in the evening. Dr. U.B. Pavanaja will be participating in the event.

A Wikipedia workshop is being planned to be organised in the Srimati Savitribai Phule Pune University on the 20th August 2015. Under the scope of “Sau Dhuni Teen” project, the workshop is focused on building resources in Indian languages for women's studies on Wikipedia and equip its participants with the rudiments of contributing to Wikipedia, and to introduce it as a concept to them.
