Mrutyunjay is a recognised expert in data-driven decision-making and a leading commentator on Indian consumer behaviour. Dr. Ilavarasan is an Associate Professor at the Department of Management Studies in the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. Using a large scale demand side research undertaken at BharatNet pilot sites, Dr. Ilavarasan will discuss the status of broadband access in India. Dr. Prabhakar is an Associate Fellow with the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER). She is involved in a project that looks at the digitisation of land records in India and its impact on land ownership across the country. In the talk, she will evaluate the impact that digitisation of land records has had in parts of rural India. Please join us on Sunday, January 08, at the CIS office in Hauz Khas, Delhi, for a rankathon to visualise, and contribute to the findings of the Ranking Digital Rights study, and critique the underlying methodology. The event will begin at 10:00 in the morning and participants can focus on one or more of three kinds of tasks: 1) visualising the CIS and Ranking Digital Rights data, 2) evaluating additional companies using the RDR methodology, and 3) evaluating the RDR methodology and its suitability for independent use.
