A Hindi translation of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 was commissioned by the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) and is now available for download.

The National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) has supported the Centre for Internet and Society and its campaign for web accessibility for the disabled. In addition to sponsoring the first National Workshop on Web Accessibility to train web developers, held in February 2009, the NIXI has now brought out a Hindi translation of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. It is hoped that this translated version will help Indian web developers to get a better understanding of the guidelines for creating accessible web pages.
