Youth is responsible for protecting Telugu
G. Umamaheshwara Rao, head of linguist research at Hyderabad Central university observed that there is every possibility for Telugu to be extinct soon. Its responsibility of youth to protect and preserve the language. And it is Wikipedia which would help in doing so.
A program was arranged to inaugurate Telugu Wkipedia digital resource center at Andhra Loyola College. Others who were present were Dr. Samala Ramesh Babu, Editor Ammanudi magazine, Fr. GAP Kishore, Principal, Rahmanuddin, Program officer, CIS-A2K, Prof B. Sivakumari, Botany dept, N Srinivas, Statistics dept, Kola Sekhara, Telugu dept, Pavan Santhosh, PA, CIS-A2K.A workshop for 40 students (10 each from Botany, Telugu, Physics and Statistics) took place from 11 to 13 January in the college campus.
