The Centre for Internet and Society, brings together a range of people with backgrounds in various disciplines who have made significant interventions and impacts in the newly emerging area of Internet and Society. Working through a model of collaborations, consultations and peer-networking, the Centre for Internet and Society features some of the most innovative and relevant ideas embodied by the different people we work with.

The Centre for Internet and Society also initiates several research, advocacy and educational programmes which involve an extensive network of researchers, practitioners, artists, institutions and organisations that partner us intellectually and programmatically towards our vision.

The Lab

The MetaCulture Media Lab envisions to create an open and alternative space for creative inquiry in the techno-social arena. The space offers a conducive environment for hands-on learning through experimentation with open and interactive technologies to enhance human experience in networked cultures. Our doors are open to anyone eager to engage in innovative exploration and meet like-minded individuals. The space is shared by a multidisciplinary representation ranging from NGO members, social scientists, artists, designers, technology hobbyists, start-ups, members of the industry, and other community members.

Besides providing an open participatory space, we regularly feature exhibitions, workshops, presentations, film screening and other events that are of interest to a wider community of technology and digital humanity enthusiasts, in a collaborative spirit of “learn, teach and share”.
